This award is presented annually to a Medical Laboratory Technologist (active or retired) who continually strives to promote a positive professional image for the profession. This technologist leads by example. This can be through promotion of public awareness, advancement of the profession through volunteering on behalf of the PEISMT, community involvement, or exemplary patient care. This person is also a competent, conscientious worker having the respect of his/her peers and recognizes the importance of continuing education.
Nominations are received from members of the PEISMT and the award recipient is chosen from the nominees by the Executive Board.
Executive Board members are not eligible while holding office.
